I am a San Francisco Ferry Building frequent shopper. I love the energy, the fresh and local produce, and the quality food. I love that I can wander along the waterfront while slurping oysters, munch on a fresh sourdough baguette, or delve into some fresh cheese from Cowgirl Creamery.
The East Bay is about to give birth to it’s sister, the Jack London Market. WOOHOO!!!
The new Jack London Market located in Jack London Square is hoping to be opening in two phases this year. The $400 million dollar development is hoping to become the culinary hub of the East Bay, as is the Ferry Building to San Francisco.
When completed, the $400 million Jack London Square expansion will combine culture, cuisine and commerce in a waterfront setting to further enhance this already popular regional destination project. Elegant new Class A office space with panoramic views will blend with destination restaurants, major new retail, the newly renovated Waterfront Plaza boutique hotel, ample public gathering areas and the largest everyday fresh market on the West Coast, the Jack London Market, scheduled for completion in 2009. Adding to the mix will be; a new 248 room, 4-star urban resort hotel and conference center adjacent to a sparkling marina; great for business and an ideal getaway for area residents.
